Who is creating change in your community?
Nominations are now open for the inaugural Charlie King Changemaker Awards, recognising individuals and organisations taking meaningful action to prevent domestic and family violence.
The awards honour the work of Dr Charlie King AM, whose leadership has brought people together across the Northern Territory to stand against violence.
They also recognise that change happens in many different ways.
Your changemaker might be someone who speaks up when others remain silent.
Someone who has changed how their sporting club, workplace or organisation responds.
Someone bringing men, families or communities into important conversations.
Or someone quietly doing the work, day after day, without expecting recognition.
We know there are changemakers in communities across the Territory. We want to hear their stories and celebrate the difference they are making.
Nominations are open to individuals and organisations and close on 3 November 2026.
Regional recipients will be announced during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, from 25 November to 10 December.
If you know someone taking action, nominate them today.
