Strengthening our Practice

Last week, some of the CatholicCare NT team had the privilege of attending the Sharing and Strengthening Our Practice Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Conference.

The incredible event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in this important field and to learn innovative ways to enhance our practice.

Highlights include:

  • Our very own Team Leader, Rob Cross,  on a panel discussiong how to bring more men to the table in developing soluations to end DFV
  • Our Primary Prevention Coordinator, Nikita Millier,  presenting on the value of Domestic Violence Action Plans for sporting organisations as a tool to create conversations and change attitudes
  •  Working two ways between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people
  •   Exploring methods to integrate the voices of victim-survivors into our programs.

We are excited to bring these insights back to our work and continue making a positive impact on our community
