Bus wrap the latest NO MORE campaign against family and domestic violence

The Northern Territory Government has joined with CatholicCare NT to develop an initiative to have a Darwin bus wrapped with the NO MORE domestic and family violence messaging.

Minister for Community Services Bess Price said bus advertising provides a great visual reminder that violence will not be tolerated.

At today's bus unwrapping CatholicCare NT in partnership with Nightcliff Football Club presented the very first domestic violence action plan to Minister Bess Price.

Charlie King, Chair of the NT Indigenous Males Advisory Council and NO MORE campaigner said domestic violence action plans will be used as a plank to build a Northern Territory wide strategy that aims to reduce the unacceptable high level of violence in our community.

"As part of the campaign Nightcliff football club has stepped up to show their support with the development of a domestic violence action plan and a sign at their home ground.

"We are calling on all sporting codes and clubs to consider developing a domestic violence action plan.

"In addition we will encourage all Territorians to become supporters of the NO MORE campaign by registering at www.nomore.org.au," said Mr King.
