Position: NO MORE Community Worker, Tennant Creek

About the role

As a NO MORE Community Development Worker you will be part of a team supporting the process of change. This role will suit someone with energy, initiative and drive, and a passion to make a difference. The role includes significant travel to remote communities and some after-hours work which is offset by flexible working hours.

You will need a good understanding of remote communities, community mobilisation and DFV prevention principles to be able to deliver program outcomes. Some of the activities of this role include:

Encouraging community action
Helping sporting and community groups develop Domestic Violence Action Plans (DVAPs)
Providing information and educations sessions
Participating at community and sporting events
Developing and supporting Men's Groups/Healing Groups
Advocating for change
Providing referrals to support services
