Shes not your rehab - Interactive Workshop: “How to do the work”

Tuesday, 3 December 2024 - 9:30am
Darwin International Tennis Centre

As part of the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, NO MORE is proud to host Matt and Sarah Brown from She Is Not Your Rehab for a transformative workshop. Their revolutionary approach to addressing family violence and promoting healing in communities is empowering audiences worldwide, and now they’re bringing their powerful message to the Northern Territory. These events will build on the 20-year legacy of Dr. Charlie King, AM, who has worked tirelessly to engage men to break the cycle of violence in the Northern Territory.

In addition to the keynote, Matt and Sarah will also host a trauma-informed interactive workshop for those working in family and sexual violence prevention, particularly with men. This small-group workshop is designed to deepen the skills of first responders, social workers, community leaders, health professionals, and anyone whose work touches the lives of those impacted by violence.

The workshop provides hands-on training, building self-awareness, empathy, and the courage needed to address the complexities of domestic violence. Participants will engage in Whakawhanaungatanga (relationship-building), interactive group work, and courageous conversations, as well as rethink strategies for working with perpetrators of violence.
